10 years ago Jacko captained a bunch of young blokes to a premiership in the 3rds. We went undefeated that season.
10 years on, and 8 out of the team went on to play in the 1st XI. Chris Wullaert, Laurie Moore, Jamie Purdon, Matt Howard, Andrew Charnock, Daniel Clark, Colin Groom & Ben Carraro.
5 of those are still playing at the club, with Loz now President & Wooly secretary.
The team we had that season proved significant in the future of the club.
So it’s important that we celebrate our past achievements as a club, to reflect with former & current team mates of the success that we had in that amazing season of 2003/04, where all 3 senior teams made the finals.
So we invite you all to join in the celebrations in the clubrooms on Saturday 1st March, from 8pm.
Many of you will also have played your last game of cricket for this season on the 1st March, so you will no doubt be keen for a few drinks.
